Hello World!

7 02 2010
Hi! My name is Hanna Newman and I am sophomore at the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph MN. I am working toward my B.S. in Nutrition with a concentration in Dietetics and I am very excited about this field. I have always loved food and it’s healing attributes. I think that good nutrition is so important and that we all need  to make a conscious effort to chose foods that support our wellbeing. I have recently become  a Nutrition Apprentice at  http://foodpicker.org/ a website designed to help people with diabetes. Diabetes is becoming somewhat of an epedemic here in America and it is preventable with proper nutrition and excercise. If you ever have any questions about diabetes and how it can managed or maybe even cured please don’t hesitate to ask me! I recently watched this video by Ann Cooper  on ted.com and she talks about the food crisis in America and how it can be changed through education!
Please view this, it will motivate you to make a difference!
